Francesco Olianas - HEAD CHEF
Born in Iglesias on October 1, 1956 - Francesco from the early age has manifested a particular interest for the cuisine. At the age of 16 he begins his career in a tourist village in North Sardinia and he continues to gain experience in other restaurants of the reknown Costa Smeralda in order to "steal" as much as possible the secrets of the kitchen. When he turns 19, he undertakes his first experience abroad, infact he moves to England (restaurant San Lorenzo), then to Germany and later to France, working in several italian restaurants.
At the age of 27 he comes back to Sardinia and decides to open his first own business, a rostisserie. Few years later he opens a Pub in his native town, Iglesias, which he runs together with his wife Rosy for about 10 years. At the end of this experience the couple opens the restaurant "Il Gazebo Medioevale" where Francesco still works with his family.

Our Chef offers a variety of exquisite dishes. The restaurant welcomes both local and tourist clientele.
Come and visit our restaurant for lunch or dinner; try typical Mediterranean cuisine or Sardinian specialities and immerse yourself in the local medieval culture.
Alternatively, we offer expertly prepared International dishes like the Valenciana Paella, Sushi, etc.
The Chef prepares delicious homemade desserts and grants all of your wishes offering special menus.
