The proud Cannonau vines grow in the south-eastern part of the Sella&Mosca estate and in other small plots scattered around the property deemed most suitable for it. Its elegant, sophisticated nose juxtaposes the typical delicate floral sensations of the grape variety with the haughtier Mediterranean notes conveyed by the frequent north-easterly breezes. On the palate it is concentrated and lingering, with warmth and good structure, making it the perfect accompaniment to the island’s meals.

APPEARANCE: Ruby red with flashes of garnet. NOSE: Broad, estery and assertive with a characteristic slightly herbaceous note prevailing and attractive tarry sensations. PALATE: Full-bodied, dry and nicely balanced, flaunting intrinsic elegance and structure as the grassiness of the Cabernet melds with a restrained oak-derived after-aroma. FOOD MATCHINGS: A full-bodied, long-aged wine that superbly partners roasts, red meats, game and rich sauces from all culinary traditions.

Sella&Mosca’s most prestigious wine is dedicated to the noble Villamarina family and has repeatedly won awards in the leading international competitions. Painstaking care is lavished on its production, during both the tending of the old, selected Cabernet Sauvignon vines and the long years of ageing in top-quality oak. Its aroma is concentrated and lingering, with pleasant notes of red fruit and attractive vanilla, and hints of spices.

Monica, one of Sardinia’s most representative black grape varieties, is capable of producing diverse wines in different climate and soil conditions. AcinoM is a highly representative expression of Monica, reworked and reinterpreted from a modern slant. It is fine, fruity, intense and elegant on the nose, showing itself warm and velvety on the palate, with good structure and enfolding softness. It is a good accompaniment to grilled vegetables, cheeses and meats, both roasted and with sauces.
